Four cameras in one, the Xacti E1 allows you to shoot both photos and video at everywhere on dry land and also while snorkeling or just playing around in a swimming pool. This mighty little camcorder can records both full 640x480 resolution video at 30 frames-per-second and high-resolution 6-megapixel digital still images, whuchare handily stored to a standard SD or SDHC flash memory card.

Although the Xacti is not a professional series one, it is a 6-megapixal camera, so the pictures are clear and sharp. There are many adjustments, filters, focusing options available in its easy accessible menu.  It is extremely easy to use. There are only three buttons - one for taking a picture, one to start video and one for zoom.

Product Review

The 5.3MP still photos are good, but this is a video camera.The HD video camera is nice, easy to use with digital zoom, not to blocky or grainy and more so at the extreme 4x level but at 2x to about 3x the camera compensated well and cleared up the image.

At 720p 30 fps - Not to bad, noticed the jumpyness or shakyness of the image as moving left to right in the test,  At 720p 60 fps - Now were getting better, At 1080p 30fps, it is good quality but the jumpyness of the video is back and you need to take it slower.

Every bit of it and all the drivers you need for the camera are built right in and installed on PC from the camera;
